Sunday, August 29 - Outdoor Worship 
Our congregation will meet at Wylie Park for Outdoor Worship and Lake Baptism on Aug. 29 at 10:30 a.m. There will not be a potluck dinner this year, as the pavilion is not available.  Sanctuary worship will be held at 8:15 for those unable to come to the lake.  Please call the pastors if you wish to schedule a baptism.

Sunday School classes will begin September 12 for ages 2-adult.  Teachers & Volunteers are  needed.  Can you help?  Call Laurie or Bev at 225-5680.

SCHOOL KITS NEEDED
We have 75 school bags ready to fill!  Items needed:
          Blunt scissors (rounded tip)
          3 pads (loose leaf) 8 ½ x 11 paper
          1  30-centimeter ruler
          1 hand held pencil sharpener
          6 unsharpened pencils with erasers
          1 eraser, 2 ½ inch
          1 box 24 crayons
NOTE:  NO CONSTRUCTION PAPER & 3 PADS OF PAPER INSTEAD OF 2

LAYETTE KITS NEEDED
We have 25 baby sweaters ready to pack!
Items needed per kit:
          6 cloth diapers
          2 shirts or one-piece body suits
          2 gowns or sleepers
          2 baby washcloths
          2 diaper pins
          2 receiving blankets

HEALTH KITS NEEDED
1 Hand Towel (15”x25” up to 17”x27”) (No kitchen towels)
1 Wash Cloth     
1 Comb (Large, sturdy-not pocket sized)
1 nail file or finger nail clipper (no emery boards or toenail clippers)    1 bath-size bar of soap (3oz. & Up)
1 toothbrush (single brush only in original wrapper-no child-size brushes)
6 Adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages    
The church will supply $1 to purchase toothpaste- because of expiration date.

Jesus said, " My house will be called a house of prayer." (Matthew 21:13).  In our desire to become that House of Prayer at FUMC, we have in place several prayer chains.  If you wish to add a prayer request or would like to be a part of a prayer chain, please contact Grace or the church office to be part of this ministry.
