TIME TO DONATE FOR AUCTION!
Every Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. members of the Auction Committee will be available at the canopy entrance to accept items for the all-church auction on January 10. Any large items, collectibles, antiques, and good usable equipment & furniture are welcome. No clothes, please!

THANKSGIVING EVE-7:00 PM
It is our tradition to hold a joint Thanksgiving Eve service with sister UMC congregations, Bath/Faith UMC & North Highland UMC. Our church is hosting the 7:00 p.m. service on Wednesday, November 26. There will be special music from each church and North Highland pastor, Mark Ehrmantraut will preach. There will be a time of fellowship and coffee following the service. We have permission to use Mr. Russo’s NORTH lot. Members- please use this lot, and save the east lot for our visitors.

Family Advent Evening
Wednesday, December 3 5:00-8:00 p.m. Church Dining Room We invite you and your family to this free evening of fun! Advent activities, crafts, light supper, photo opportunities, and children’s choirs.

A Get Real Christmas Tea for Women
Saturday December 13 2:00 – 3:30 pm Community Life Center Gym Darlene Fischer, Groton, will speak on her “Journey to Joy” Be our guest for dessert, tea & coffee (No cost or reservation necessary)

A Christmas Open House
Sunday, December 14  3:00-5:00 p.m.
Our church family and the community are invited to come and see the new Community Life Center.  Join us for tours and refreshments!  Use canopy or alley entrances to new addition!

Bible Studies

“Breaking Free: Making Liberty in Christ A Reality in Life” by Beth Moore
This women’s study will held Monday nights at 6:45 pm in Room 201 CLC.  Priscilla Hamilton and Linda Mazzie will facilitate this 11-week study which draws parallels between the captive Israelites and today’s believers. It is based on Isaiah 61:1-4.  Childcare will be provided by reservation -  call the church office and leave a message for Kristie with your request. 

Experiencing God:  Knowing and Doing the Will of God

Marilyn Meberg's DVD Study "At My Wits End"
 Women’s Monday Afternoon Bible Study Monday at 1:15 p.m.  Join us for a cup of coffee, a pastry, and 7 messages on hope & encouragement.  This class meets in the CLC Community Room.  Everyone is welcome!

Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30 for an 8 week course starting November 2 in room 104. (CLC parenting room-next to nursery)  If you have a Bible, bring it…if not, Bibles will be available.  Questions, contact Pastor Tom at 225-5680!

Prayer Ministry

Jesus said, " My house will be called a house of prayer." (Matthew 21:13).  In our desire to become that House of Prayer at FUMC, we have in place several prayer chains.  If you wish to add a prayer request or would like to be a part of a prayer chain, please contact Grace or the church office to be part of this ministry.

Heart & Soul Aerobics

Heart & Soul Aerobics is meeting on Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. in the CLC gym.  Please sign up at table by Sanctuary OR by theCanopy Entrance for this 9 week session.  There is no cost for this class, and it’s open to the public.  It’s a church sponsored activity.  Please invite friends.  If you want to get a head start, START WALKING now.  Take advantage of Aberdeen’s beautiful walking paths.  There are attendance cards available at sign up to help encourage you to start working out now.
